Patient Services Associate

Pennsylvania Medicine is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medical research, and educating future healthcare professionals. As a Patient Services Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our Renal, Rheumatology, and Medical Genetics teams at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care and service, ensuring a positive experience for all patients and families.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and communicating with patients regarding wait times and other important information.
- Process patient registrations, verify insurance information, and obtain necessary signatures and forms.
- Manage patient records, including demographic and insurance information, and ensure accurate and timely updates in our electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and other team members to ensure seamless patient care and service.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of processes and procedures to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a medical office setting or customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic health record systems.
