Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Equipment Operator to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a Field Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for applying herbicides and pesticides to labeled crops, operating all applicator equipment, and performing maintenance on that equipment. This is a critical role that requires a Class A or B CDL and a strong understanding of agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and apply pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals to crops
  • Maintain accurate log books on applied acres
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration on application equipment
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain pesticide applicator license
  • Attend equipment workshops and training sessions
  • Perform maintenance on other equipment and fixed facilities
  • Work nights, overtime, and weekends during peak season
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience operating large equipment required
  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle
  • Class A or B CDL required
  • Pass a drug test and background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Agricultural background
  • Basic knowledge of agricultural pesticides
  • Excellent driving record
  • Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers
  • Professional competence to safety
Work Environment

As a Field Equipment Operator at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC, you will work in a typical warehouse and distribution environment with moderate to loud noise levels. You will be required to work near moving equipment and mechanical parts, and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, and electrical shock. You will be required to lift or move up to 100 pounds regularly.
