Position: Certified Medical Assistant for Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient details, document medical history, and confirm the reason for the visit.
- Exhibit strong computer skills; familiarity with EPIC Electronic Medical Records, patient scheduling, and insurance verification, including prior authorizations.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate any changes to the physician.
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- For wound care, manage dressing changes, prepare patients, summarize patient history, and relay physician orders to VNA and pharmacies.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to established standards and procedures, while complying with legal regulations.
- Act as a liaison between patients and VNA by managing communications and ordering necessary supplies, while monitoring inventory levels and placing orders as needed.
