Job Overview

Position: Beverage and Food Operations Supervisor
Salary: $ /hr
Type: Full-time (hourly) position, with expectations to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
Reports to: Director of Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Department Oversight: Manage the daily functions of the food and beverage division, ensuring optimal service delivery.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee adherence to health and safety regulations, alongside industry standards and local legislation.
  • Team Leadership: Train, oversee, and schedule food and beverage personnel, promoting high performance and compliance with standards.
  • Stock Management: Control inventory levels, including procurement, stocking, and cost management to enhance profitability.
  • Client Relations: Foster high levels of customer satisfaction by promptly addressing guest inquiries and feedback.
  • Financial Management: Supervise and manage budgets, expenditures, and financial outcomes of the food and beverage operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold exceptional standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service.
  • Event Support: Collaborate with event coordinators and other departments to ensure successful food and beverage service for various events.
  • Sanitation Standards: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food and beverage areas, including kitchens, bars, and storage facilities.
  • Policy Enforcement: Implement and uphold organizational policies and procedures related to food and beverage services.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in food and beverage operations, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
  • Industry Insight: Comprehensive understanding of food and beverage industry standards, terminology, and best practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Strong focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Multitasking Ability: Proficient in managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving Skills: Effective problem-solving capabilities and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Financial Knowledge: Basic understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial oversight.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
