Position Overview:
Under general supervision, the Senior Auditor is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and executing financial, compliance, and operational audits. This role ensures adherence to laws, regulations, policies, and legal requirements for educational institutions and programs funded by federal and state resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive audits to assess compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate financial operations and ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
  • Utilize computerized administrative and accounting systems to enhance audit efficiency.
  • Implement internal control principles to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

Experience: A minimum of four years of experience in conducting financial and/or compliance audits.

Additional Requirements: A valid California driver’s license may be required.

  • Proficient in data interpretation and fact-finding.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate legal and regulatory frameworks effectively.
