Job Overview:
Under general supervision, the Senior Auditor is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and executing financial, compliance, and operational audits. The primary goal is to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, policies, and legal requirements for educational institutions and programs funded by federal and state resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits to evaluate compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assess financial operations and internal controls to ensure effective governance.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance operational efficiency.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of auditing principles, standards, and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
- Proficiency in computerized accounting systems and internal control frameworks.
- Awareness of laws and regulations impacting educational finance.
- Analytical Skills - Ability to interpret and analyze data effectively.
- Critical Thinking - Evaluate information logically and make informed decisions.

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. A minimum of four years of experience in conducting financial and compliance audits is essential. A valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license may substitute for one year of the required experience.

A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between job sites may be necessary. Hybrid remote work options may be available.
