Airport Capital Project Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Architect to lead our Airport Capital Projects team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning, design, and management of complex capital projects, with a focus on airport facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of planners, architects, engineers, and other professionals to guide the planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and activation of airport capital improvement projects.
- Develop and present preliminary design alternatives and comparative analysis to address requests and/or concerns from stakeholders throughout the planning & design process.
- Review planning & design submittals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to project requirements, and provide meaningful & constructive feedback to the design team.
- Solicit feedback from internal and external project stakeholders, and guide design teams through competing interests and project constraints to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Manage planning & design efforts throughout all stages of a project to ensure that projects fulfill their mission, while remaining on-schedule and on-budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, and/or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in planning, design, and management of complex capital projects.
- Licensed Architect (preferably by CA Board of Architects).
- Optional certifications such as AAAE, CASp, LEED, PMP, etc. are desirable.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office and Planning & Design Software.
This is an on-site position at LAWA.
