Electrical Engineer

Astec, a global infrastructure and manufacturing company, seeks an Electrical Engineer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and parts for consumer and business electronics. Key responsibilities include evaluating systems' safety, reliability, and performance, managing engineering projects, and collaborating with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes.
Key Deliverables
Design and improve electrical products and systems.

Work Environment
The Electrical Engineer will work in a manufacturing environment, exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools, and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions, and exposure to the risk of electric shock. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, or Electronic technical degree required.
1+ year of related work experience preferred but recent graduates with a four-year electrical engineering degree are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency with personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite software applications required.
Engineering drawing reading and interpretation skills required.
Experience with Plus 1 Guide, CoDeSys, C++, Telematics, Hydraulic circuits, 12V/24V DC electric circuits, and/or control systems for off-road construction equipment a plus.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes a plus.
Experience in the design and manufacture of off-road construction equipment preferred.
