LPN Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at The Glen at Hiland Meadows in Queensbury, NY. As a member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents under the direction of the Nursing Director
  • Oversee and mentor a team of resident assistants
  • Pass medications to approximately 20 residents
  • Be able to self-direct with minimal guidance and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Maintain detailed documentation and communicate changes in residents' needs to the team
  • Foster resident independence and freedom of choice
  • Education of families to make the most out of their visits with their loved ones
Requirements:
  • Valid NYS LPN license
  • 1+ year of experience working in a direct patient care role handling med passes
  • 1+ year of experience as a LPN, but willing to help train the right candidate to further their skills
  • Understanding of assisted living regulations
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service while completing day-to-day duties and responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively in a fast-paced work environment
  • Engage within a team setting
  • Strong leadership and mentorship of the Resident Assistant staff
  • Think, act, and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations
  • Passion to learn, grow, and develop in the nursing field

Pay Range:

$30.10 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.

The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
