Job Summary:

The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to residents under the direction of the Nursing Director. Responsibilities include overseeing and mentoring a team of resident assistants, passing medications, and maintaining detailed documentation. The ideal candidate will have a valid NYS LPN license, 1+ year of experience in direct patient care, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to residents under the direction of the Nursing Director
  • Oversee and mentor a team of resident assistants
  • Pass medications to approximately 20 residents
  • Maintain detailed documentation and communicate changes in residents' needs to the team
  • Foster resident independence and freedom of choice
  • Education of families to make the most out of their visits with their loved ones
Requirements:
  • Valid NYS LPN license
  • 1+ year of experience in direct patient care
  • 1+ year of experience as a LPN, but willing to help train the right candidate to further their skills
  • Understanding of assisted living regulations
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service while completing day-to-day duties and responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively in a fast-paced work environment
  • Engage within a team setting
  • Strong leadership and mentorship of the Resident Assistant staff
