Job Title: Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground

At Kanaan Communications, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and upgrade of cable television and telephone systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight and supervision to in-house crews and subcontractors to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and profitability.
  • Ensure that safety, industry, and customer practices are followed during the construction process.
  • Accurately document daily construction progress and complete TQA documentation.
  • Visit and inspect job sites to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve financial reports, including dailies, timecards, and other financial documents.
  • Work with design teams to resolve challenges and implement change orders efficiently.
  • Supervise and implement underground construction methods, ensuring compliance with company rules, practices, and policies.
  • Represent the company and interface with customers, developers, property owners, utilities, and municipalities.
  • Coordinate and lead crews, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Valid driver's license or eligibility to obtain required license.
  • Good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Telecommunication experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of telecommunications OSP construction.
  • Previous construction supervisor and/or managerial experience.
  • Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
Physical Abilities and Exposures:
  • Routinely: endure long periods of standing, sitting, or walking, work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year.
  • Occasionally: lift and/or pull 50 pounds occasionally throughout each workday.
