We are seeking an innovative and energetic Senior Patent Agent to join our Intellectual Property team. This is a highly visible role that provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with our in-house legal team, scientists, and business partners on various world-class technologies.

• U.S. patent drafting
• U.S. and foreign patent prosecution
• Familiarity with patent administrative proceedings
• IP portfolio development aligned with business strategy
• Invention development
• Inventor education
• Patentability and landscape analysis
• Assistance in Freedom to Operate analysis

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) from a reputable institution in quantitative genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, breeding, or a related bioinformatics computer science discipline
• Registered to practice before the USPTO as a Patent Agent
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in drafting and/or prosecuting patent applications as a Registered U.S. Patent Agent, preferably in a law firm
• Ability to analyze patent landscape and advise clients on patentability considerations for complex technologies
• Experience working with foreign associates to assist and coordinate filing and prosecution of international patent matters
