Job Title: Senior Patent Agent

About the Role:

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a highly skilled Senior Patent Agent to join our Intellectual Property team. As a Senior Patent Agent, you will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, as well as analyzing patent landscapes and advising clients on patentability considerations for complex technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Drafting and prosecuting patent applications
* Analyzing patent landscapes and advising clients on patentability considerations
* Coordinating with foreign associates to assist and coordinate filing and prosecution of international patent matters
* Maintaining effectiveness in a fast-paced environment and facilitating implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace

Requirements:

* Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) from a reputable institution and a strong background in quantitative genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, breeding, or a related bioinformatics computer science discipline
* Registered to Practice before the USPTO as a Patent Agent
* Minimum 5-7 years of experience in drafting and/or prosecuting patent applications as a Registered U.S. Patent Agent, preferably in a law firm
* Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to prioritize projects and meet aggressive deadlines
