Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to assess and address the care needs of residents.
- Facilitate medical, dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry services for residents.
- Execute nursing duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, including medication administration and treatment execution as prescribed.
- Support Medication Technicians in the effective delivery of medications.
- Assist in resident assessments as directed by the Health Services Director.
- Monitor residents' health and communicate any changes to relevant parties, including physicians and the Executive Director.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in resident charts as per company policies and regulations.
- Oversee daily staff communication regarding resident care needs during shift changes.
- Coordinate prescription management with healthcare providers and pharmacies.
- Inform residents and families about pharmacy and supply programs.
- Current and valid California nursing license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of using standard office equipment.
- Knowledgeable in assisted living and dementia care practices.
- Ability to work effectively with seniors and engage with cognitively impaired individuals.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification required.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Background check and Health Screening, including physical and TB tests.
- Compliance with health and safety protocols, including vaccination and PPE requirements as mandated.
