We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Outpatient Care team at Kaiser Permanente. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Patient Care: Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician, you will provide nursing care to patients, utilizing observational skills to identify nursing interventions and assist medical staff to ensure optimal care.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: You will assist physicians and other medical staff with examinations and treatments, selecting and passing instruments, providing support and restraint to patients, and draping as directed.
- Document Patient Information: You will accurately document patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and treatment plans, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Communicate Effectively: You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, utilizing verbal and non-verbal forms of communication to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: You will participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of strategies to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- License/Certification: Current LVN license in California required; Basic Life Support certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 12 months of LVN experience in a healthcare setting required.
