**Job Summary:**
The Springs Healthcare at the Carlotta is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and services in a long-term care setting.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide and oversee patient care and services safely and in accordance with all regulations and policies.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Observe, report, and document patient conditions.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, respiration, and pulse.
- Set up treatment trays, prepare instruments, and/or other equipment as needed for treatments.
- Maintain a working knowledge of assigned patients' conditions at all times.
- Review reports from previous shifts to determine changes in patient status and assign duties to certified nursing assistants (CNAs) or other nursing personnel.
- Turn over accurate records and ensure oncoming shift nurses are updated.
- Notify the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and/or Administrator of changes in patient condition or other job-related problems.
**Requirements:**
- Currently registered and licensed in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
- 2+ years' experience in long-term care preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Positive, professional, and calm demeanor in all work-related situations.
