Position Overview

The Immigrant & Refugee Services Division at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is in search of a dedicated Case Worker to deliver essential case management services for unaccompanied immigrant minors and youth with similar circumstances. Under the guidance of a Case Manager, the Case Worker (Children & Youth) will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Conducting interviews and meticulously documenting interactions with unaccompanied minors and similarly situated youth.
  • Offering comprehensive case management services, which include facilitating school enrollment and providing referrals for medical, mental health, social services, and legal assistance.
  • Maintaining detailed case files, including thorough case reports.
  • Recording data and assisting with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
  • Executing additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in a social services capacity.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
