Principal Software Engineer

We're seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our Observability team at Roblox. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and easy-to-use observability infrastructures that support our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with business partners to determine the vision and roadmap for observability
- Take full ownership of existing observability infrastructures and improve them with new features and functionality
- Architect the next generation of observability infrastructures to handle tens of billions of active metric streams and petabytes of log and tracing data daily
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in building, maintaining, and evolving large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with components required to build modern, large-scale infrastructures
- Ability to pick up new technologies as the landscape evolves
- Passion for mentoring junior engineers
