Build the Future of Data with Snowflake

Snowflake is seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead our Regulated & Sovereign Cloud team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying secure and compliant cloud infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of highly available, reliable, and secured distributed services and solutions within the global Snowflake cloud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational readiness of services and meet commitments to customers regarding security, reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production, with recent experience in building large-scale cloud services.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with different security areas, including identity and access management, cryptography, and network security.
  • Experience with database systems and database internals, such as query engines and optimizers, is a plus.
  • Strong fundamentals in computer science skills, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
  • Expert-level development skills in Java or C++.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard security concepts and protocols, such as SAML, SCIM, OAuth, and RBAC, is a plus.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
