Job Overview:
- Deliver mechanical design, production assistance, modeling, and analytical tasks for both commercial and defense-oriented products.
- Develop CAD models and schematics for optical and mechanical components.
- Identify necessary parts and tools to achieve manufacturing objectives.
- Investigate, design, and create tools, production fixtures, and mechanical methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate high-quality models and schematics utilizing Solidworks or NX software.
- Assist with drawing updates, bill of materials generation, and product data documentation.
- Exhibit strong communication skills for presenting findings to engineering teams and management.
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
- Possess experience in tool design and fabrication processes.
- Oversee project budgets and timelines effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
Language Proficiency: Capable of interpreting and analyzing complex documentation. Strong communication with colleagues and management is essential.
Mathematical Competence: Proficient in applying advanced mathematical principles.
Educational Background: An Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting is necessary. Proficiency in CAD is required.
Additional Criteria: Candidates must meet the definition of U.S. Persons as per U.S. law.
Work Environment: Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Good hand-eye coordination and computer usage skills are necessary. The work environment may involve both office and manufacturing settings.
