Position Overview:
The Museum Technology Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the museum's technological framework, which includes gallery interfaces, audiovisual systems, electronic infrastructures, servers, and cloud solutions aimed at enhancing visitor engagement and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Management: Supervise the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Gallery Interfaces and Audiovisual Equipment: Manage the technology utilized in exhibitions, ensuring the functionality of multimedia displays and audio guides.
- Cloud-Based Solutions: Administer cloud systems and software, managing licenses, updates, and supporting enterprise applications.
- Server and Network Management: Oversee server operations and network security, including backup procedures and disaster recovery planning.
- Website and Social Media Management: Maintain and update the museum's website, ensuring security and performance while integrating social media into the digital strategy.
- Graphic Design and Multimedia Production: Create and manage digital content, ensuring compatibility and optimal display of multimedia assets.
- Security and Data Protection: Implement security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations through regular audits.
- User Support and Training: Provide technical support to staff, develop training programs, and maintain an IT helpdesk system.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a preference for candidates holding an advanced degree. A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management is required.
Essential Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure.
- Experience with digital strategies and audiovisual technologies.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language and multiple operating systems.
- Ability to update code for exhibits and integrate new systems.
