Job Title: Network Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

World Wide Technology is seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Specialist to join our team. As a Network Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining our company's network and IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network systems, servers, and infrastructure through specialized tools to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Respond quickly to network incidents, alerts, and outages, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Escalate critical issues to senior engineers, management, or vendors as required and coordinate resolution efforts.
  • Diagnose network, server, and hardware issues, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and other infrastructure components.
  • Maintain detailed logs of network events, incidents, resolutions, and system performance for future reference.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior NOC technicians and assist with onboarding and training as needed.
  • Assist in developing scripts or processes to automate routine tasks and improve network efficiency.
  • Work closely with other IT and network teams to address issues, implement changes, and deploy new systems.
  • Prepare regular reports on network health, incidents, and performance for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in network operations, with at least 2 years in a senior NOC role.
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar are preferred.
