Job Summary:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Coupling Warehouse, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. This includes managing inventory levels, coordinating with the Threadline Department, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and shipping materials
- Coordinate with the Threadline Department to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, including quantities, thread types, and dimensions
- Recondition couplings as required by management
- Provide visibility to management through regular reports on inventory status
- Perform visual inspections of inbound materials and report any issues or discrepancies
- Assist in inventory control, including verification of counts and material
- Train and guide Coupling Warehouse personnel on daily HSE and operational activities
- Support HSE-related programs to promote a safety culture
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience in warehouse inventory processes
- Great reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
- Manual dexterity for operating machinery
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and warehousing
- Minimum of two years of experience with Microsoft Excel
- Minimum of two years of experience in OCTG environment handling or having direct exposure to couplings and protectors
- Knowledge and exposure to API 5CT & 5B Couplings Specifications
- Minimum of two years of proven experience operating a 5,000 lb forklift or similar
- Attention to detail
Working Conditions:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will work in a manufacturing environment with normal working conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, greasy and dirty conditions, and noisy conditions. The position requires lifting, pulling, and/or pushing of materials and product up to 57 pounds, standing, and walking considerable distances. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, including eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats.
Authority and Obligation:
- This position has the authority to stop Coupling Warehouse operations at any time deemed necessary for reasons of safety, quality, or priority
