About the role of Procurement Specialist at Alltex Staffing Personnel
Position: Procurement Specialist
Pay Range: $16-$23 per hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to procure products and services while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
The ideal candidate will excel in evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing inventory levels to meet the needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement and Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, vendors, and service providers. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers. Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Order Management: Place purchase orders based on inventory requirements and forecasted demand. Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery. Resolve issues related to orders, including discrepancies and delays.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Assess supplier performance and address any performance issues. Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality and efficiency.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to meet the company's operational needs. Implement control measures to minimize excess stock and shortages. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Cost Management: Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Balance cost and quality of goods and services.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications. Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and financial performance.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal departments to understand procurement needs. Communicate effectively with suppliers, management, and other stakeholders. Participate in cross-functional teams to support company objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred). Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar procurement role. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and purchasing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with occasional visits to supplier facilities. May require occasional travel for supplier meetings or industry events.
