TCI Technology Consulting Inc is seeking an experienced Active Directory Architect to join our team. This is a long-term contract opportunity with probable extensions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining supported directory and security services provided to 171 school districts across Kentucky. This includes creating strategies to maintain current services, such as a large Managed Security Services (MSS) Premises-Based Firewall Solution at each site, a single active directory forest with 180 domains servicing over 750,000 users, multiple Microsoft 365 Online offerings, and other critical identity and security software services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Active Directory, excellent decision-making and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the security posture of the organization.
  • Perform firewall management and monitoring, including rule set configuration and validation.
  • Provide operational support and management of the Enterprise Active Directory environment, in cooperation with Microsoft.
  • Manage and support the provisioning system from an on-premises AD forest to multiple Microsoft Azure AD tenants via Azure AD Connect and Google Workspace for Education.
  • Lead and/or assist in technical presentations to KY K-12 school district customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus in IT or equivalent combination of experience/knowledge.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a System Architect with a specialty in Active Directory.
  • Strong decision-making, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently/self-reliant and show initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and apply appropriately to business situations.
