LPN Job Description

Maplewood Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to provide exceptional care to our seniors.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications as prescribed
  • Provide direct care and service to residents
  • Teach and counsel on wellness and health promotion
  • Participate in assessments under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RN)
  • Support residents and families, and oversee Certified Nursing Assistants
  • Train associates and audit care
  • Complete monthly in-service training as required
Requirements:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice
  • Two years full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience
  • Experience working with older adults, with prior dementia and psych experience preferred
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks, such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, peers, and other staff members
  • In good physical and emotional health, and free of communicable diseases
