Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and effective use of medications, monitor patient responses, and take appropriate action to prevent adverse events.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices, guidelines, and regulations, and apply this knowledge to optimize patient care.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, ensuring the pharmacy operates in a compliant and efficient manner.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients, customers, and colleagues, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise and develop Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure their success.
  • Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking medications and supplies.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy by optimizing inventory management, reducing waste, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential losses, ensuring the pharmacy operates in a secure and responsible manner.
  • Workflow Management: Streamline pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and minimizing delays or disruptions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
  • License: Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
  • Certifications: Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA).
  • Background: Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
