Job Summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of heart-centered healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead with Heart: Demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues, creating a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and effective administration of medications, adhering to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice, applying evidence-based knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, ensuring the pharmacy operates in accordance with industry guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance patient care.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients and customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise and develop Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and ordering of medications and supplies.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Loss Prevention: Implement measures to prevent loss and minimize waste, ensuring the pharmacy operates in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Workflow Management: Optimize pharmacy workflow, streamlining processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization.
  • Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
