Executive Assistant to the Chief Information Officer

Join the City of Atlanta's Department of Atlanta Information Management (AIM) team as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team that is committed to advancing technology for the city, its citizens, and visitors.
Job SummaryThe Executive Assistant to the CIO will provide administrative support to the CIO and the Office of the CIO (OCIO). This role will serve as a liaison between citywide departments and external entities, and will be responsible for coordinating activities and schedules for the CIO.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide variety of executive administrative duties as required, including coordinating activities and schedules for the CIO.
- Develop and recommend office policies, procedures, and systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Research and analyze routine administrative projects for the CIO.
- Receive and screen all communications of the CIO, including telephone calls and email messages, and provide assistance as needed.
- Prepare and review/proofread written communications and reports for typographical consistency, grammar, and correct spelling.
- Proofread and edit documents for accuracy and format, and distribute documents as instructed.
- Serve as a CIO representative on special projects, committees, and task forces as assigned.
- Make travel arrangements for the CIO and reconcile expenses, maintain appointment schedules and calendars, and arrange meetings and conferences.
- Provide follow-up to assignments given to members of the management team by the CIO and provide status reports.
- Accompany the CIO to various onsite and offsite events, including relevant CIO board meetings to capture minutes, action items, and follow up as needed to ensure completion.
- College degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Five or more years working in a public sector environment.
- Five or more years of related experience with proven office administration and customer service skills required.
