About the Opportunity

The National College of Education at National Louis University is pleased to announce its search for an Assistant/Associate Professor of School Psychology. This is a full-time, renewable Professional Practice track position (non-tenure) that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of school psychology.

About the Role

As an Assistant/Associate Professor of School Psychology, you will be responsible for teaching courses in the School Psychology Program, advising Ed.S. students, and providing service to the School Psychology profession and the National College of Education. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse student body and contribute to the development of our School Psychology Program.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in the School Psychology Program, including academic, behavioral, social emotional intervention, and assessment
  • Advise Ed.S. students and provide guidance on their academic and professional development
  • Provide service to the School Psychology profession and the National College of Education, including participating in professional organizations and contributing to the development of our School Psychology Program
Qualifications
  • Doctorate in School Psychology or closely related field
  • License in School Psychology or be license-eligible through the Illinois State Board of Education
  • Extensive experience in addressing the academic needs of PK-12 students through research-based practices
  • Demonstrated experience in MTSS service delivery in PK-12 settings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree specifically in School Psychology
  • Record of excellent teaching skills at the university level
  • Experience with supervision and mentorship of school psychology graduate students
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive collaborative relationships with field supervisors
  • Nationally Certified School Psychology (NCSP) status
  • Three or more years of employment in PK-12 settings
