Job Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time, Permanent Design Consultant to assist customers, including designers, architects, and builders, in selecting materials in our showroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering incoming showroom calls and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain and nurture existing client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assist customers in material selections, providing expert knowledge and guidance.
  • Maintain the showroom appearance, ensuring a clean and organized environment for customers.
  • Possess and maintain industry product knowledge to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Cross-trained to assist in the customer service department when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college, or six months to one year experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in order processing systems.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals or groups at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
