Perinatal Health Specialist

The Perinatal Health Specialist will play a key role in implementing the Medi-Cal Doula benefit program in Los Angeles County. This is a full-time benefitted position provided by Heluna Health, with an estimated annual salary of $94,000.
About the RoleThis position requires experience as a birth doula or full-spectrum doula, as well as at least two years of programmatic and administrative experience in perinatal health. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, ability to navigate and build relationships with diverse groups, and a commitment to addressing inequality in healthcare and health outcomes through frameworks of anti-racism and reproductive justice.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with the selected Doula Hub community lead agency to develop plans, scopes of work, budgets, and timelines for each of the five Hub areas.
- Develop, implement, and monitor subcontracts for Hub services, including communications, training, evaluation, and/or billing.
- Maintain relationships with Medi-Cal health plans serving Los Angeles County and facilitate presentations to health plans, healthcare facilities, funders, providers, and organizations that provide perinatal services.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to Public Health.
- At least two years of experience in perinatal health, including experience as a birth doula or full-spectrum doula.
- Strong English writing skills and computer literacy.
