About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at St. John's Community Health.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will work in conjunction with medical and behavioral health teams to manage psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases, apply behavioral principles to address lifestyle and health risk issues, and provide consultation in the treatment of mental disorders and psychosocial issues.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and integrate behavioral health services across the St. John's network.
  • Maintain protocols and procedures for integrated behavioral health activities.
  • Assist primary care providers in recognizing, treating, and managing mental health and psychosocial issues.
  • Conduct client intakes, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations, and make recommendations to primary care providers concerning clients' treatment goals and plans.
  • Provide consultation to primary care providers to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Professional Clinical Counseling.
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a social worker therapist in a community mental health environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of multi-ethnic and underserved communities.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in a Managed Care setting.
