As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your primary responsibility will involve communicating with insurance providers to resolve denied claims. You will also develop skills in crafting appeals to challenge denied or underpaid claims. This role will expose you to a variety of national payers across multiple states and systems, while collaborating with your colleagues. Importantly, comprehensive training will be provided.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Contacting payers to ascertain the reasons behind denied or incorrectly paid insurance claims.
  • Utilizing various practice management systems and workflow technologies.
  • Addressing client inquiries promptly regarding outstanding insurance claims.
  • Monitoring payer portals for updates on insurance claim statuses.
  • Participating in team and client meetings.
  • Collaborating with leadership to enhance client collections, focusing on securing additional payments for insurance claims.
  • Learning to prioritize your workload for optimal efficiency.
  • Fostering a fun and collaborative environment while contributing to team morale.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable.
  • Experience with Epic or NextGen software is highly desirable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
  • A strong team player.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Proficient in professional communication, particularly over the phone.
