Industrial Coatings Specialist

The Industrial Coatings Specialist sets up and completes painting assignments by the requirements of the client, including the quality level, meeting the delivery schedule, and minimizing waste.
The specialist reviews the job folder and follows up regularly with their immediate Supervisor to ensure they are using the most up-to-date prints and specifications.
The Supervisor is updated daily on the paint schedule progress.
The specialist is responsible for equipment and paint booth maintenance, ensuring all jobs are properly prepared for painting before moving them into the paint booth, and maintaining a clean work area.
The specialist inspects the tooling after painting, identifying and inspecting at critical junctures.
The specialist ensures they have the proper tools to perform these Quality Control checks and knows how to use them properly.
The specialist operates forklifts and cranes safely and efficiently.
The specialist tracks painting material flow daily.
Requirements:
Three to five years of related experience and/or training.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:
The specialist must understand how to use computers, including tasks such as turning the computer on and off, locating and opening files, navigating to websites, performing searches, and downloading files.
The specialist works collaboratively and builds strategic relations with colleagues, coworkers, and contractors.
The specialist must be able to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
The specialist works in a production and office environment, with temperature-controlled areas unless products and/or equipment are located outdoors.
The specialist may be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
The specialist is responsible for ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
The specialist moves about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
The specialist operates a motor vehicle, forklift, and/or other heavy equipment.
The specialist picks, pinches, types, or otherwise works, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
The specialist reads instructions, operates machines, and inspects parts produced.
The specialist performs visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and operation of machines.
Each employee is responsible for completing all training requirements.
All employees that work in or enter the production environment are required to wear personal protective equipment.
