Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Utility Coordinator to join our team at the Maine Department of Transportation. As a key member of our Highway Program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely adjustment and relocation of utility, railroad, and municipal facilities within the State's right of way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project schedules with priorities for utility company resources to ensure efficient relocation of facilities.
  • Work closely with utility companies to locate utilities and plan necessary adjustments and relocations.
  • Develop agreements with utilities, railroads, and municipalities to facilitate project coordination.
  • Serve as the utility and railroad team member on assigned projects, ensuring seamless collaboration with stakeholders.
Requirements

To be minimally qualified for this position, candidates must provide evidence of:

  • Eight (8) years of experience in engineering, or
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and four (4) years of engineering experience, or
  • An Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and six (6) years of experience in engineering.
