Nurse Coordinator

The Transfer/Admit Center Nurse plays a crucial role in coordinating patient admissions and bed assignments, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient care delivery. This position requires strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient admissions and bed assignments, utilizing approved clinical guidelines to ensure consistency with current policy and procedure.
- Collaborate with multiple departments, including nursing, physician, and ancillary staff, to facilitate smooth patient transitions.
- Identify and communicate bed utilization issues, as well as barriers to patient transfers and admissions efficiency.
- Participate in bed management meetings to optimize resource allocation and patient flow.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a healthcare-related field.
- 2 years of clinical nursing experience, demonstrating knowledge of nursing process, patient flow, and coordination with multiple departments.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
