About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Assistant and Unit Coordinator to join our team at ARRMC (CVICU). As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist RNs in providing patient care, focusing on the psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and age-specific needs of our patients.
  • Perform a range of clerical, receptionist, and administrative support functions to ensure the efficient operation of the nursing unit.
  • Facilitate workflow, communication, and transcription of physician orders under the supervision of an RN.
  • Promote patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction, and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of responsive observations in the practice of care.
  • Provide excellent communication between staff and patients/customers, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
  • Promote and maintain Asante's Vision and Values.
Requirements
  • Completion of an OSBN-approved CNA-2 training program.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology gained through education or experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous CNA and/or clerical experience required.
  • CNA 2 certification by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start.
