Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Norton Healthcare. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care as ordered by physicians, including the initiation of respiratory protocols and evaluation of protocol steps.
  • Assess, develop, and evaluate care plans for patients, ensuring the appropriateness of respiratory care modalities.
  • Participate in monitoring quality of care and identify areas for improvement.
  • Organize workflow to maintain smooth transitions between shifts and assist in the day-to-day operations of respiratory care services.
  • Document patient information accurately and enter charges for patient billing.
  • Maintain current knowledge via hospital and department communication tools and identify problems to recommend solutions.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • CRT or RRT certification (RRT must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
  • One year of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a critical care setting
