Job Overview

:

This role is essential in supporting project objectives through active participation in both internal and external financial and scheduling evaluations, as well as executing cost monitoring and reconciliation tasks. The position may also contribute to long-term strategic planning initiatives and provide assistance to dedicated integrated project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees cost documentation, tracking, and reporting to ensure adherence to relevant standards. Accountable for the creation and precision of financial reports, ensuring alignment with prior reports for consistency. Conducts cost engineering and analysis/control activities for projects that involve complex requirements or necessitate advanced technical expertise. Exhibits proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and delivering innovative solutions related to cost engineering for various areas and functions. Provides mentorship to junior Project Controls Engineers in data and graphical analysis.

Additionally, may be tasked with scheduling review and development through the following:

Gathers necessary scheduling information from all relevant disciplines/functions. Recognizes constraints and their impact on the overall project timeline. Collaborates with all departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project scheduling requirements. Ensures the complete integration of scheduling activities. Identifies scheduling issues and challenges arising from inter-discipline or functional constraints and interactions. Monitors and communicates critical path and overall project schedule performance. Conducts analyses of project schedules and investigates problem areas to assess the criticality of scheduling tasks. Proposes alternatives for schedule enhancements to the project team for consideration and discussion. Leads the development and assessment of schedule recovery strategies when requested, including evaluating additional resources and costs needed to implement such strategies.

Education and Experience Requirements:

A university degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of applicable work experience. Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination, drug screening, and background verification. Must be eligible to obtain necessary security clearance for project access. Must possess the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience in executing, supervising, and reviewing cost engineering functions, including cost estimation, control, and analysis, both in the field and at the home office. Strong oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with Primavera P6 and/or Cobra software applications. Proficient in using PC operating systems and various basic software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Cobra software applications. Prior experience with government project Earned Value Management Systems in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction settings. Ability to adapt to urgent project demands and shifting priorities. Capacity to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and objectives. Proficient in utilizing multiple discipline-specific applications (Cost processors, COBRA, Primavera, etc.). Previous experience in Waste Treatment Projects (WTP).
