Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000

Position Summary:

  • Take a leading role in the design and implementation of awarded power systems initiatives
  • Create and develop Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, and Wiring Diagrams
  • Manage resources and plan effectively
  • Ensure quality control of all electrical deliverables
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Clients, coordinating with other project disciplines
  • Draft Electrical Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, Purchase Requisitions, and Bid Evaluations for various electrical equipment, including Paper Machine Drives, Switchgear, Transformers, Generators, Variable Frequency Drives, and DC Systems. Review vendor documentation as necessary
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for power systems and define scopes of work for project design and study proposals
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, customers, and both internal and external service providers or contractors
  • Prepare electrical designs, calculations, and bills of materials

Qualifications Required:

  • Proven experience in designing Power Systems for Heavy Industrial Applications
  • Possession of a PE License (or ability to obtain one; EIT acceptable)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience on large-scale projects
  • Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, or EASYPOWER software
  • Experience in Electrical System design, System Studies, Relay Coordination, Protection, and Control

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in power design for Power Plants, Pulp and Paper Mills, Chemical Plants, Cement Plants, and/or Cogeneration Plants is highly desirable
