About the Role

In this role, you will tackle challenging, dynamic work with a highly energized and tight-knit team. No two days are the same.

You will be exposed to a variety of cutting-edge products and applications, as well as key customers in the semiconductor, flat panel, and other thin film markets.

As a leader in a cross-functional product design team, you will be responsible for product designs from conception through end-user qualification and release into production.

You will interact worldwide with all aspects of the business, key vendors, OEMs, and end-users.

Responsibilities
  1. Create and maintain simulation models for power supply, including plasma load, for system development.
  2. Responsible for the design, development, and release to manufacturing of switch mode power supply systems.
  3. Responsible to diagnose complex issues with design, field performance, reliability, and test yields of products and recommend/implement corrective actions to address.
  4. Owns the success of the product/system in the end-users' applications.
  5. Works closely with customers, sales, product management, and procurement to drive innovation and efficiencies through the design and manufacturing process.
  6. Manages risk and compliance across the area of accountability.
Work Environment

Standard office environment utilizing standard office equipment, a noisy fast-paced lab, and/or clean room 90% of the time.

Must be able to travel 10% of the time. Travel involves international and domestic travel to remote sites, customers, and vendors.

Qualifications
  1. Demonstrated design ability of Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS).
  2. Ability to exercise judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  3. Ability to utilize previous experience in engineering practices/procedures, industry/customer practices in all work.
  4. Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and provide guidance to other personnel.
  5. Ability to solve complex technical problems independently.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  7. Good verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Fluent verbal and written communication in English. C2 proficiency desired.
Experience

Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering and product development.

Education

BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or similar.

MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering with a Power Electronics concentration desired.
