Job Summary

The Patient Liaison Nuclear Medicine Full Time position is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Nuclear Medicine department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing schedules, coordinating care alternatives, and communicating with patients and clinical staff to ensure compliance with prescribed treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Manage schedules to optimize resource utilization, including providers, rooms, and equipment.
  • Perform schedule maintenance activities, such as opening and closing clinic templates, and coordinate care alternatives for patients impacted by changes.
  • Communicate with patients and/or clinical staff as necessary to ensure patient compliance with prescribed treatment plans.
  • Assist the Practice Manager with data collection and analysis related to physician productivity and resource utilization.
  • Facilitate the resolution/prevention of billing errors and denials, including obtaining pre-certifications or referrals as needed.
  • Register patients and schedule or coordinate the scheduling of appointments.
  • Provide patient education information and/or materials as needed.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with patients, internal providers and staff, external hospital departments, physician offices, and vendors.
  • Answer all incoming inquiries from patients, providers, staff, and others related to all aspects of practice operations.
  • Conduct follow-up with patients to ensure compliance with all testing, prescriptions, and the plan of care.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 years previous healthcare experience.
  • Experience in a customer service role.
