Patient Liaison Nuclear Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Liaison to join our Nuclear Medicine team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient care and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage schedules to optimize resource utilization and ensure efficient patient flow.
- Perform schedule maintenance activities, including opening and closing clinic templates, and coordinate care alternatives for patients impacted by changes.
- Communicate with patients and clinical staff to ensure patient compliance with prescribed treatment plans.
- Assist the Practice Manager with data collection and analysis related to physician productivity and resource utilization.
- Facilitate the resolution/prevention of billing errors and denials, including obtaining pre-certifications or referrals as needed.
- Register patients and schedule or coordinate appointments.
- Provide patient education information and materials as needed.
- Maintain strong relationships with patients, internal providers, staff, external hospital departments, physician offices, and vendors.
- Respond to incoming inquiries from patients, providers, staff, and others related to practice operations.
- Conduct follow-up with patients to ensure compliance with testing, prescriptions, and the plan of care.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2 years of previous healthcare experience.
- Experience in a customer service role.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Previous experience with an electronic medical record system.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
