Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workforce Development Specialist to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our workforce development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive workforce solutions that meet the needs of our clients and job seekers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations and employers to identify job opportunities and training initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain a current listing of local job opportunities and provide referrals to job seekers.
  • Work with businesses to identify job openings and develop strategies to recruit and hire qualified applicants.
  • Assist employers in interviewing and hiring qualified applicants and maintain follow-up contact to determine satisfaction with services.
  • Conduct information sessions and workshops for employers and job seekers to promote job readiness and placement.
  • Develop and provide accurate reporting on job placement and training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with case management staff to facilitate job placements and provide support to job seekers.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
  • Familiarity with the communities being served and knowledge of local needs and resources.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends and ability to analyze data to inform workforce development strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employers and job seekers.
  • Related Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to pass State criminal background check and drug screen and maintain confidentiality of all information housed in the division.
