Business Office Clerk

Job Summary:
The Business Office Clerk will provide clerical support to the Business Office staff as needed. This role will perform various administrative tasks, including billing support, document imaging, and other responsibilities as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with billing support, including printing paper claims and submitting them to payors via US Mail
- Ensure all necessary documentation is attached to claims
- Document notes in the patient account system for tracking of billed accounts
- Provide outside physicians with patient insurance information, as requested
- Work special billing-related projects, as needed
- Document Imaging Responsibilities, as assigned: Open and separate department-related incoming mail, scan incoming correspondence to patient account, as needed, and give original correspondence to appropriate parties
- Other Responsibilities, as assigned: Answer incoming calls and assist callers, assist all business office team members with clerical functions, as requested, and perform all other duties assigned within skills sets and abilities
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Previous clerical experience working in a healthcare environment, preferred
