Lead Software Engineer/Developer Opportunity at Peraton

Role Overview

The Lead Software Engineer/Developer is a pivotal role within Peraton, focusing on delivering critical information management and IT solutions for classified networks utilized by high-level government officials. This position encompasses global technical infrastructure support for our clientele and its associated networks.

Key Responsibilities

The individual in this role will:
  • Provide expert technical guidance in software systems programming and analysis with minimal oversight.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis and technical support for systems software products.
  • Assist in the planning and transition to new hardware and software solutions.
  • Develop and enhance operating systems applications.
  • Design, code, test, and implement automation tools for operational efficiency.
  • Prepare software design documentation and technical white papers.
  • Collaborate with project management to establish project timelines and technical direction.
  • Oversee quality assurance reviews and evaluations of both existing and new software products.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering with relevant experience.
  • Security+ Certification or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • Extensive experience in software engineering and development with proficiency in diverse technologies.
  • Experience managing a Windows operating environment.
  • Familiarity with version control and issue tracking systems.
  • Experience in developing web applications and RESTful web services.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SharePoint and software development.
  • Additional years of experience in software engineering and development.
