Lead Software Engineer/Developer Position at Peraton

Role Overview

The Lead Software Engineer/Developer at Peraton is a pivotal role that involves delivering critical information management and IT solutions for secure networks utilized by high-level government officials. The position is focused on providing comprehensive technical infrastructure support globally to our clientele and its associated entities. Our specialized team excels in areas such as Personnel Management, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering (including SharePoint Development), and Facility Management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

The individual in this role will be tasked with:
  • Delivering expert technical guidance in software systems programming and analysis with minimal oversight.
  • Conducting thorough analysis and providing technical support for systems software products.
  • Assisting in the planning and transition to new hardware and software solutions.
  • Developing and enhancing operating systems applications.
  • Designing, coding, testing, and implementing automation tools for operational efficiency.
  • Creating software design documentation and technical white papers.
  • Collaborating with project management to establish project timelines and technical direction.
  • Ensuring rigorous quality assurance reviews and evaluations of both existing and new software products.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems or Software Engineering, along with relevant experience.
  • Security+ Certification or the capability to obtain it within six months.
  • Extensive background in software engineering and development with a strong command of various technologies.
  • Experience in managing a Windows environment.
  • Familiarity with version control and issue tracking systems.
  • Experience in developing web applications and RESTful web services.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SharePoint and software development.
  • Additional years of experience in software engineering and development.
