Job SummaryWe are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Server to join our team at Saint James French Diner. As a Server, you will be the friendly face that enhances our guests' experience by bringing your own flavor to the table. You will make sure guests are having a fabulous time, from the moment they arrive until it's time to say goodbye.
Key Responsibilities- Take orders, run food, make espresso drinks, and serve cocktails and other refreshments from the bar as ordered by guests.
- Work with the team to ensure the restaurant and bar run smoothly with everything in its place.
- Restock, replenish, and prep the coffee bar and side work areas as needed.
- Communicate openly with bar and restaurant managers when it comes to customer feedback.
- Collaborate with the hotel staff to ensure overnight guests visit the bar/restaurant and know about all the great offerings (and promotions) available exclusively to them.
- Provide legible communication and directions.
- Compute basic arithmetic.
- Perform job duties with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Prioritize, organize, and follow up.
- Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
- Follow directions thoroughly.
- Understand guest's service needs.
- Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Server in a high-quality full service or fast casual environment.
