Program Financial Specialist

Leidos, Inc. is looking for a Financial Program Analyst to support the National Security sector within Homeland Solutions. The chosen candidate will oversee all financial reporting elements of the program. This role demands a proactive problem solver who can integrate knowledge from various fields to conduct comprehensive analyses of financial issues and leverage those insights to develop effective solutions. Strong communication skills, both internally and externally, are vital for success in this position as collaboration with functional peers and program teams is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Contribute to the formulation of program-level processes and procedures aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies.
· Engage significantly with the Program Manager, Business Managers, Contracts team, customers, and other functional or support teams.
· Act as a liaison between the Program Team and cross-functional departments to conduct financial research.
· Oversee the monthly invoicing process, managing all aspects of Accounts Receivable (aged AR, reconciliation of unbilled balances, rate adjustments, cash collections, etc.).
· Handle budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of all contract costs and financial data.
· Conduct monthly Estimate at Complete (EAC) and variance analyses.
· Assist in the monthly closing of key financial metrics (Revenue, Operating Income, etc.).
· Prepare and present financial data during both internal and external program reviews.
· Support the monthly accrual process.
· Address any ad hoc requests from internal management and external clients.
· Demonstrate the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment across various organizational levels.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
· Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
· Experience in Program Finance with various contract types.
· Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
· Strong organizational, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent analytical abilities, capable of identifying financial drivers and performing both high-level and detailed analyses.
· Exceptional attention to detail.
· Customer-focused mindset.
· Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Prior experience in the government contracting sector.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
· Familiarity with Leidos Financial Systems.
· Experience with OAC/data query tools.
